Welcome to the guys (And three girls) from MSNBC's Baseball Bulletin Board's Unofficial International Heather Nabozny Fan Club page.

Heather Nabozny became the first female Head Groundskeeper in MLB history when she officially took over the job for the Detroit Tigers on March 1st, 1999. Hopefully they will be as responsive and enthusiastic as her former employer. Many thanks to the West Michigan Whitecaps and Geoff Wilson for their cooperation.

OFFICIAL UNOFFICIAL FAN CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS

At the moment joining the fan club is very simple...to become a member all you have to do is use the intitials HF (Heather Fan) somewhere in your name when posting on the board. In addition, you must observe these simple rules:

  • Cries of "Rake it baby, don't break it" will not be tolerated.
  • When attending ballgames you must stand and honor the grounds crew during the raking of the infield.
  • If your lawn dies, you are out.
  • Anyone posting derogatory remarks such as "Sure Tiger Stadium's field is green, but the dead blades per square inch of field is decidedly inferior to that at Yankee Stadium" or "Anyone who knows anything, knows that the ph level of the soil in Detroit is conducive to great grass, however let's see her try and deal with the ph level in LA" is also out.
  • Anyone deemed a jack ass by membership is banned from the fan club also.

I can't let the chance go by without offering a link to my hometown team.
If you have a favorite minor league team, send me the addy and I will put a link here.
